National Conference of Engineers 2026

4 March 2026 – Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts

This conference marks the start of the first National Conference of Engineers and brings together around 40 selected representatives from universities, associations, business, politics and society.

The aim of the conference is to develop key topics and approaches for further strengthening the role of engineers in sustainable development in Switzerland. The results will form the basis for the national conference in Winterthur in 2027, where a joint declaration will be adopted.

Aims of the conference

  • Positioning: We highlight the crucial contribution that engineers make
to solving social challenges and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals
(Sustainable Development Goals 1 to 17).

  • Visibility: We raise awareness of what engineers do to improve
the quality of life in our society.

  • Promoting young talent: We are committed to helping young people discover their interest in careers
    in engineering.
