UNESCO World Engineering Day

The World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development for Sustainable Development is celebrated on March 4th every year as an international UNESCO day to celebrate engineers.
EVERY MARCH 4th TAKE

place many events throughout Switzerland to promote the next generation of engineers and to promote communication with and among engineers.

The increased perception of engineers in society also enhances the benefits that engineers provide daily and their benefits.

Measure: All engineers identify themselves on important occasions with a light blue accessory (positive element, fitting to the person) and thereby publicly acknowledge that they belong to this important occupational category.

The 40th UNESCO General Conference in November 2019 passed the resolution to declare March 4 of each year World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development.

The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) proposed March 4 as World Engineering Day, the day the Federation was founded, as part of the celebration of the Federation's 50th anniversary in 2018. This is an opportunity to celebrate the important contributions of engineers to sustainable development and modern life.

Countless events take place worldwide.

Who can take part?

All companies, associations, educational institutions and science centers are invited to give their employees and students time on this day to promote the profession and the young talents. Organizations can offer their own events and promote the Engineers' Day.
